two in one

When the window was

broken

and the cats came

in

did you see

shards

sticking to the undersides

of

their feet?

Glass

all over the floor

and

glittering in the

fire

reflected off surfaces that

melted

the icy air.

This is an experiment of sorts, two poems in one. Read it as one or begin on the second line and read every second line and the last two lines. Gimmicky I know but so much fun under such constraints. I do so love the playfulness of words. ^-^
